Solid Hardwood Installation in Castell, TX

Solid Hardwood Installation in Castell, TX

Solid hardwood is one piece of wood through its full thickness, which means it can be sanded and refinished many times across a very long life. Floors a century old are still in service because of that.

It also moves with humidity, expanding in summer and contracting through the heating season, which is why it needs an expansion gap at every wall and why it is not suitable over concrete or below grade. Seasonal gapping in winter is normal behaviour rather than a defect.

Acclimation is the step that gets skipped and causes the failures. Wood needs days on site at working temperature and humidity before installation, or it cups or gaps afterwards and nothing fixes it retrospectively.

Castell, TX Hardwood Floor Installation acclimates properly across Castell, TX and will not fit a floor the day it is delivered.

If an installer wants to lay solid hardwood on delivery day, that is a problem rather than efficiency.
